Michigan joins the ranks of springdom, sort of. Thanks to the photographer, heather t, who took this image on March 28, 2008 in southeastern Michigan. Says Heather: “We got two inches of snow overnight, but about half of that had melted.”

Daffodils in the city! This might be the first photo we’ve posted of daffodils on pavement. It’s an interesting image of Pittsburgh’s Market Square taken on March 22, 2008. (The photographer, melissamac, has also posted some beautiful photos from Washington D.C.’s Cherry Blossom Festival this weekend.)
A March 28, 2008 email from the photographer, skagitstan, explains this image: “The pic was taken yesterday morning (27 March) on Lyman Hill, at about 500 feet above the Skagit Valley floor. The snow arrived that night, and melted off by early afternoon. We expect more snow today.”
