Daffodils in the city! This might be the first photo we’ve posted of daffodils on pavement. It’s an interesting image of Pittsburgh’s Market Square taken on March 22, 2008. (The photographer, melissamac, has also posted some beautiful photos from Washington D.C.’s Cherry Blossom Festival this weekend.)

A March 28, 2008 email from the photographer, skagitstan, explains this image: “The pic was taken yesterday morning (27 March) on Lyman Hill, at about 500 feet above the Skagit Valley floor. The snow arrived that night, and melted off by early afternoon. We expect more snow today.”
