Photographer JuliaC2006 tells us about this St. David’s Day image taken on March 1, 2010: I’m doing a photo a day diary project this year, and as today is St David’s Day, I thought it would be nice to try and find some daffodils. It was a beautiful sunny day, so I went for a walk in St James Park, London near where I work. I saw lots of snowdrops and purple crocus flowering. The daffodils were mostly still just buds though, although the one I chose to photograph did show a tiny amount of yellow. As I said in my caption, I’m sure they will be flowering in a couple of days.

JuliaC2006 wrote to us on March 19 to say: Just to follow up, you might be interested in the photo I took today in St James’ Park www.flickr.com/photos/juliac2006/4445481109/ – absolutely thousands in flower now – I just wish the sun had been shining.

What a difference in two weeks!
