Well, the snow is gone except for the piles in the parking lots. Here is what photographer OriginalPsyn tells us about this March 1, 2010 image: I don’t really know what kind of daffodils these are. They where here already when we moved in. These actually grow right by my back door there are 3 or 4 different types in that patch. They are pretty hardy. One year they were about to bloom then we had a blizzard. As soon as the snow melted they bloomed. This patch always a welcome sight at the end of winter. The snow melts here first and they are alway ready to spread their love.

I try to go each year as each display that they make up is always beautiful. I just love photographing flowers and try to get unique perspectives on the flowers when I take the picture.

Photographer iofdi tells us about this February 19, 2010 image: This photo was taken in Milan, Ohio. These are the first of my Narcissus daffodils to bloom. They are totally bright yellow. There is a photo here farm4.static.flickr.com/3560/3367223882_28f674494f_b.jpg of them in bloom. They were in full bloom March 18 last year.

Photographer Sue Combs tells us about this daffodils daffodils image taken on April 5, 2009: The daffodils I have taken recently were all shot in the South of Dayton, Ohio area – the towns of Oakwood and Kettering. Some were taken at Polen Farms in Kettering, and some were shot on Oakwood where a couple use their ample front, wooded, yard as a daffodil showcase!

There are literally thousands planted and it is a very popular place for folks to visit this time of year.
