Photographer ccalhoun68 tells us about this late winter image: The picture was taken in the Linville Gorge Wilderness Area, just North of Morganton, North Carolina on 2.21.09. I was backpacking there with a group of friends. This area is called the ‘Daffodil Flats’ by the Linville Gorge Yahoo Group. They were approximately 60-70% in bloom.
