Daffodils, originally uploaded by gurel.ayse.
Photographer gurel.ayse tells us: This [February 13, 2009] photo was taken in Amasra, Turkey. Amasra (pop. 7000; anciently called Amastris) is a small Black Sea port town in the Bartın Province, Turkey.
Amasra is a 3 hour drive from Ankara (capital of Turkey). Fish is abundant and so very fresh! In fact, the daffodils were the centerpiece in a local fish restaurant. In the background is the sea and the bay, lovely view. Daffodils mean a lot to me, because they bloom in January, my birth month!
