Daffodils and Bird in Scotland

Blue Tit, originally uploaded by Drosophi|a.

Photographer Drosophila tells us about this April 19, 2009 image: This was taken in Scotland, near Fyvie Castle in Aberdeenshire. The Daffodils were well kept by the gardeners and provided the perfect backdrop for the little Blue Tit I managed to photograph.

  1. Dear Photographer,
A lovely scene you’ve captured. I had my husband come take a look as he dearly loves birds. In fact, we have a mini-bird sanctuary in back near our woods here in Tennessee, USA, and are trying to attract blue birds. But as yet, none have taken up residence in the house we got for them. The daffodils, of course, are a joy to see.
    Thanks for posting,

  2. Here it is 20l0 and we have bluebirds in our backyard! They finally found the little house we put up for them, and what a thrill to see that shade of blue. Our daffodils, due to an unusually cold winter (for several days, East Tennessee dropped lower than some places in Alaska!) my daffs are only part way up. No blooms showing yet, but I just can’t wait for March. Will have to look at photos for now.
Happy days to you all who post on this lovely website and who visit it…
