Wordsworth Daffodil Garden, Grasmere, originally uploaded by byamossygnome.com.
A daffodils blog would not be authentic without a photograph taken at Grasmere. Photographer byamossygnome.com tells us: The picture was taken in the Wordsworth Daffodil Garden in the village of Grasmere in the English Lake District. They are wild daffodils – the sort which inspired Wordsworth’s poem about them after he saw them growing by the shores of Ullswater, a lake just a few miles away. Because Wordsworth lived in Grasmere, and his poem is so famous, many daffodils have now been planted there.

Just love this photograph, whoever took it. Thank you so much for posting such a lovely picture for all us daffodil lovers around the world.
Aren’t our favorite flowers a joy to behold!
