The cyclist is on a bike trail that stretches from DC to Mt. Vernon, a trail I used almost on a daily basis to commute between my home in Alexandria and my office in Washington. The beds of daffodils are maintained by the Park Service, a tradition started in the 1960s by Lady Bird Johnson.
